Daniel Schramek from the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada, focuses his research on leveraging functional genomics to achieve significant advancements in the personalized and highly specific treatment of human cancers by identifying and characterizing the mechanisms behind tumor development. One of his major contributions to this field has been elucidating the molecular link between synthetic hormones, stem cells, and breast cancer.
