» Stellenwert der Pankreaschirurgie im 21. Jahrhundert
Die operative Behandlung der Bauchspeicheldrüse ist seit jeher eine „Königsdisziplin“ in der Chirurgie. Aufgrund der zentralen Lage mit Nahebeziehung zu großen arteriellen und venösen Gefäßen, Gallenwegen und Bauchorganen stellen Erkrankungen der Bauchspeicheldrüse höchste Ansprüche an Diagnostik und Therapie. Vorbei sind die Zeiten von hoher perioperativer Sterblichkeit und Hochrisikoeingriffen mit enormem Blutverlust. Die moderne Pankreaschirurgie ist präzise und radikal, aber unblutig und in ausgewählten Fällen sogar minimalinvasiv (Schlüssellochchirurgie). Die durchschnittliche stationäre Aufenthaltsdauer nach einer Bauchspeicheldrüsenoperation beträgt heute knapp über eine Woche.
